What Are The Requirements For Hot Melting Of Pert Tubes And What Should Be Noted

In fact, a pert tube is a heat-resistant polyethylene tube, which is a non crosslinked polyethylene tube that can be used for hot water. It is a common type of pipe in the decoration industry, and is very popular due to its convenient use, long service life, and the ability to deform and link under hot conditions. But even so, it is still possible that many people may not understand. So, next, I will introduce in detail what are the requirements for hot melting of pert tubes? What issues should be noted? 
The requirements for hot melt connection are as follows:
1. A dedicated hot melt welding machine is required.
2. Generally applicable to pipes with a nominal diameter greater than 63mm.
3. Suitable for connecting pipes and fittings of the same brand and material. The performance is similar, and different grades and materials of pipes are connected to pipes, pipes and fittings, which require experimental verification.
4. Vulnerable to environmental and human factors.
5. High equipment investment.
6. Low connection cost.
7. Operators need to receive specialized training and have certain experience.
Attention should be paid to the hot melt connection of PERT plastic pipes:
1. The hot melt tool can only be operated after the power is turned on and the operating temperature indicator light is on;
When cutting pipes, the end face must be perpendicular to the pipe axis. Pipe cutting generally uses pipe scissors or pipe cutting machines, and if necessary, a sharp hacksaw can be used. However, after cutting, the rough edges and burrs on the pipe section should be removed;
The end face of the pipe and pipe fittings must be clean, dry, and oil-free;
4. Use a caliper and a suitable pen to measure and mark the hot melt depth at the pipe end;
When welding elbows or tees, attention should be paid to the direction according to the design drawings, and auxiliary signs should be used to mark their positions in the straight direction of the pipe fittings and pipes;
When connecting, guide the pipe end into the heat sleeve without rotation and insert it to the marked depth. At the same time, push the pipe fitting onto the heating head without rotation to reach the specified mark. The heating time should meet the regulations in the table above (or according to the regulations of the hot melt tool manufacturer);
After reaching the heating time, immediately remove the pipes and fittings from the heating sleeve and heating head simultaneously, and quickly insert a straight line without rotation to the marked depth to form a uniform flange at the joint;
Within the specified processing time, the newly welded joint can still be corrected, please do not rotate.
