Welding Process Of PE-RT Pipe
Leave a message
Two welding processes should be used for PE-RT pipes and PE-RT Type II pipes:
1、 Two key points should be noted in the hot melt socket welding process of PE-RT pipes:
1. Control the temperature of the hot melt machine between 250-260 ° C;
2. When inserting PE-RT pipes and fittings, the residence time in the mold head should be short and the speed should be fast. The pipes and fittings should be quickly inserted at the moment when they are pulled out again. The normal operating process is to adjust the machine to 255 ° C and prepare the PE RT pipe fittings for hot melting. When the temperature of the hot melting machine reaches the set temperature, hold the pipe in your left hand and the pipe in your right hand with equal relative force until both hands feel that the pipe fittings have reached the depth of the socket. Quickly pull out the mold head of the pipe fittings, and quickly insert the pipe fittings into the pipe fittings for a certain period of time until the temperature cools down before releasing the hand.
2、 Hot melt butt welding process for PE-RT pipes
1. Fix the parts that need to be connected. Fix the PE-RT pipes and components that need to be welded on the fixture of the welding machine. The centerline of the fixed pipes and components should be on the same horizontal plane, and the pipe walls should overlap to avoid high and low, left and right misalignment.
2. Before milling the end face of PE-RT pipes, clean the inside and outside of the pipe end within 100mm with a clean cotton cloth. Then fix the milling cutter and push the walking part to mill the pipe end flat. There are two issues to note here. Firstly, the force should be slowly withdrawn before stopping to ensure a smooth pipe end (sudden withdrawal of the force milling cutter will leave a groove shell at the pipe end), and secondly, to prevent secondary pollution at the pipe end before heating.
3. Before melting the mating surface of the heating plate, the alignment should be checked again. If there are visible gaps or misalignment, they should be corrected by adjusting the fastening nuts and other methods. First, preheat the heating plate of the hot melt butt welding machine to 210~220 ℃, and then melt the end face of the PE-RT pipe. The melting time is generally the wall thickness × 10 seconds. It should be noted that the temperature indication of the heating plate can only be used as a reference, and its indication may sometimes differ from the actual situation due to environmental temperature and its own quality. The hot melt meets the design requirements mainly based on the melting and curling of the pipe end. The thickness of the curling should not be less than 1/10 of the pipe wall thickness, and it is necessary to achieve complete fusion of both ends to meet the standard.
4. After both hot melt surfaces (PE-RT pipe and PE-RT pipe or PE-RT pipe and PE-RT pipe fittings) meet the fusion requirements, quickly remove the heating plate and apply force to make both ends form a whole. After applying force, the locking buckle should be immediately locked to maintain a constant docking pressure at the interface until the interface temperature drops to the ambient temperature before the pressure can be relieved. Remove the fixing device, and pay attention not to move the pipe during the cooling process or have external forces acting on the pipe. 5. After fixing the machine device, inspect the appearance of the fusion joint. The height and width of the hot melt circumferential forming should be uniform and beautiful, with a height of 2-4mm and a width of 4-8mm as qualified.
