There are also significant differences in application, as both PE water supply pipes and PE gas pipes are made of polyethylene. Currently, polyethylene is divided into five grades: PE32, PE40, PE80, PE100, and PE63. The PE100 and PE8O grades are mainly used for PE water pipes and PE gas pipes. Previously, there was no classification for polyethylene materials in China, which made many manufacturers particularly troubled in selecting materials for water supply and gas pipes, and there were also some hidden dangers.
3. There have been significant changes in the relevant standards, with different levels of PE100 and PE80 having different compressive strengths, resulting in stronger compressive strength. At the same time, the tensile strength properties in the old standards have been removed, thereby increasing the elongation at break (greater than 350%) and strengthening the basic toughness of the material.
