Precautions for the installation of steel wire mesh skeleton pipes

(1) Storage
1. The storage location for pipes and fittings should be well ventilated and with a temperature not exceeding 40 ℃. Do not allow contact with flames or high-temperature objects. If stored for a long time, cover should be provided.
2. The pipes should be stacked horizontally on a flat support or ground, and the stacking height should not exceed 1.5m. When stacking pipes with a diameter of 300 or more, do not exceed 3 layers.
3. When stacking pipes connected by flanges, wood should be placed between rows, and the thickness of the wood should be such that the pipe joints between the upper and lower rows are not in contact with each other. Two pipes with a length of less than 6m should be placed, and no less than three pipes with a length of more than 6m should be placed.
(2) Installation and handling of steel wire mesh skeleton pipes
1. During the transportation, loading and unloading of pipes, non-metallic ropes should be used for binding and lifting. Do not throw, drag, or collide with hard objects or sharp tools.
2. When handling pipes and fittings in cold weather, it is strictly prohibited to hit them violently and handle them with care.
3. The pipes and fittings connected by flanges should pay special attention to protecting the two end faces and sealing surfaces of the pipes. The sealing surface should not be scratched, and the edges and corners of the sealing groove should not be bumped or scratched.
(3) Transportation
1. When transporting pipes by vehicles, they should be placed on a flat bottomed vehicle, and when shipping, they should be placed in a flat cabin. During transportation, straight pipes should be bundled and fixed to avoid collision with each other. There should be no sharp protrusions in the stacking area that may damage the pipes.
2. When transporting pipe fittings, they should be neatly stacked layer by layer according to the box, and they should be firm and reliable.
3. During long-distance transportation, pipes and fittings should be covered to avoid exposure to sunlight and rain.
(4) Pipeline layout
1. When laying pipelines in trenches, if the design does not specify the foundation of other materials, they should be laid on undisturbed undisturbed soil. After the installation of the pipeline, the cushion blocks used for laying the pipeline should be removed in a timely manner.
2. When pipelines cross highways, steel or reinforced concrete sleeves should be installed, with the inner diameter of the sleeve at least 150mm greater than the outer diameter of the pipe. When there is a joint inside the casing, it must pass the pressure test before crossing.
3. When installing the steel wire mesh skeleton pipe under the ground, the thickness of the soil cover on the top of the pipe should comply with the following regulations:
a. When buried under roadway, it should not be less than 1m;
b. When buried under non traffic lanes, it should not be less than 0.6m;
c. When buried under a paddy field, it should not be less than 0.8m.
4. When burying a straight pipe section, it is advisable to naturally bend and lay it along with the terrain. Fixed piers should be set at the end of the straight pipe section to prevent its deformation pressure from being transmitted to other components and causing damage.
5. When installing and burying steel wire mesh skeleton pipes, fixed piers should be installed at the corners where the straight and long pipelines connect with valves, elbow tees, and pipe fittings (such as condensate tanks and filters). Limit its expansion (or contraction) on straight pipe sections.
6. For short straight pipe sections, larger pits should be excavated at the pipe fittings, and the backfill sand (or undisturbed plain soil) should be 100-200mm higher than the design elevation.
7. When installed on the ground and connected to valves, cylinder bodies, water pumps, etc., fixed brackets should be used, and sliding (axial, transverse) brackets should be used for straight pipe sections.
